I can’t think what to say. It took several viewings to even notice all the awesome jean shorts.
Bonus: Speaking of awesome, we have a new exhibit on the Rice Hotel in the Woodson. If you’re around, come have a look.

I’m wondering about those shorts. Was this the beer-bike race or a gay pride parade?
I am betting beer-bike. They are next to the stadium, and the two throwers look like they are wearing identical t-shirts (thus they’re on the same team).
If a photo turns up of me in a pair of shorts like those, I’ll gladly pay to have it lost forever. 🙂
I’ll keep my eyes open!
It was Beer Bike. Don’t remember the year, 1976 or 1977 I reckon. One of the colleges, perhaps Hanszen, recognized that it had no chance to compete for victory so they decided to lose in style. Each bicycle was different. I think one was an old Schwinn with cards stuck in the spokes to make that faux engine noise. There might have been a motorcycle too.
