Friday Follies: Homecoming King

This one isn’t from 1951. It’s a Tommy Laverne image and it’s stamped 1993 but I’ve learned to be skeptical of those stamps.

Cute little fella, though.

    The 4 November 1994 Thresher says that he was king that year, and Ann Richards was queen. That’s the couple that I remember.
    This is probably our best source.

    Yeah, we could only afford one dated rubber stamp every 2-3 years!

    Yep, I was an undergrad then, and I remember Ann Richards and Doofus the Ferret as the 1994 Homecoming couple. Ann Richards couldn’t come to the game because she was busy campaigning, but we had a life-size cardboard cutout of her that got draped with a sash…
