Hats!! Gorgeous hats!
From the Allie May Autry scrapbook. It looks like an outing to the San Jacinto battleground, a very popular destination for students for a long time. (Just incidentally, we also have a scrapbook belonging to the young lady at bottom right, Anah Marie Leland ’22.)
Interestingly, the 1920s were about equidistant (time-wise) between the battle of San Jacinto and today.
When I was a kid it was cool never to wear a hat. Now I have the skin cancers to prove it.
Me too. I just had a bunch of stuff cut off a couple of weeks ago. Bummer.
