The Bayou City Boys

Like several of you I was quite taken with the ad for banjo lessons in yesterday’s clipping from the Thresher but I couldn’t really see any reasonable way to follow up on it:

Still, as long as I had the 1963 volume in my hand I figured I might as well look through it a  bit, just for fun. It only took a few moments to spot this in another issue:

I think the Top of the Mark was at 3400 Montrose (recently demolished) but I’m not certain.
