I’m having a severe nostalgia attack from the objects in that glass-fronted case, which are so similar to the things my father had in his lab: the triple glass flask with its concentric spheres, and those little brass weights in their wooden box.
Thanks. It’s actually painful but not especially serious–Major Butt Pain, probably sciatica. I’m going up to Omaha for the College World Series the next couple of weeks, which should help.
My cousin, a dentist, has a set of those weights in the little wooden box and was using them up until probably 1990.

I hope Stan (or others before him) have documented the origin/purpose of the various items in the case.
The lab equipment (samples in the display case) was well made and very functional. I recall doing experiments with a Wheatstone Bridge housed in an oak case in 1965. My recollection is that the metal plate on it said “1914” on it. I would bet you could do those same demonstrations today on that piece of equipment.
