    Judging from that bunch, I’m guessing the picture is six or seven years old. Watch out for the contrabassoon!

      Remember, it was Peter’s Grandfather.

    No, Peter’s grandfather was only a bassoon. However, the beast in Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite (Beauty and the Beast) is definitely a contrabassoon.

        I just checked out B&B on U-tube.
        I think Pete’s grampa started out as a bassoon, but became a contrab when he got older and heavier.
        That has happened to many Rice men, I’ve noticed.
