This undated picture looks to be a team from Rice F&E at a sandcastle building competition down in Galveston:
This caught me by surprise, though:
A&E must be an earlier iteration of F&E (now called FE&P) but I’m embarrassed to admit that I can’t recall what it stood for.
Bonus:
“A&E” typically refers to Architecture & Engineering
Or “Arts and Entertainment.” But I suspect that this is the former. I wonder if this was an early name for the group that is now the Project Management division of FE&P.
The architecture students usually participate in that competition.
Were you up there to shift the light away from the statue?
Maybe the A & E is for Architecture & Engineering? The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Houston chapter hosts an annual Sandcastle Competition. I used to work in the UH Architecture school and recall we had groups of students and alumni who participated each year in the competition – so maybe the same with Rice? https://aiahouston.org/v/site-home/AIA-Sandcastle/3m/
