Friday Follies: “The University sincerely regrets . . .,” 1961

This was the best laugh I had all week:

I thought about digging out the picture of the students dressed as a priest and a pregnant nun but I was afraid it would detract from the beauty of the exasperated press release, which I believe stands on its own.

    Yes, as George Webb indicates, that statement immediately brings to mind several statements issued by the administration following the inaugural Weiss College Night of Decadence in October of 1972. But for the next 25 years, each year was more decadent than the previous year. Or so I’ve been told.
