Two Trips to the Dentist

Both unexpected, in one day. With another one scheduled for Thursday afternoon. I’m pretty messed up!

And speaking of messed up, I’ve been saving this picture for exactly this kind of occasion:

That’s Dr. Patrick J. Nicholson ’42, who was the Vice President for Development at the University of Houston for many, many years. He was also the biographer of William Ward Watkin and wrote an informal history of U of H. He was apparently studying something to do with creativity.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go take a pill. It will all be ok in the morning!

While we are discussing that other University (U of H), I am looking for a contact who knows its history. (If you had an equivalent over there, that would be perfect). One of my husband’s ancestors, Blanche Bennett Grover, was a professor of Mathematics there from 1946 to 1968. There is a scholarship in her name. And that’s all I know about her. I would love to know more.
