Taken on January 17, 1926. Don’t they look great? And not one but two dogs!
If you zoom in you can see that the writing on the side of the car says “Censored.”
Bonus: This was extremely tempting but I was in a dress so I skipped it this time. Pretty weak, I know.
Is that left front tire flat?
Sure looks like it. Good thing he’s got that spare hanging there.
I would have climbed the ladder anyway. I mean, you’re wearing underwear I hope?
I once climbed a similar ladder, up to the flat roof nestled in the crook of the wings of Anderson.
It was near full extension, and developed a large-amplitude bounce as I approached midway.
With a little more care it became somewhat less exciting.
That poor old flivver has seen some rough use. As so many student cars of the period were, it’s a Ford Model T. Angular hood with louvers plus electric lights tells me this as a 1915 or 1916 model. Ten years was a long time for cars back then. And yes, the left front tire looks flat. Drivers didn’t generally carry a spare wheel with those wooden artillery style wheels in use.
