Friday Follies: “sadly ignorant of the ways of modern youth,” 1928

I’ve read a lot of Thresher editorials over the years (painful) but I don’t believe I’ve ever seen such hard hitting commentary about underwear before. Truly, the mind reels:

Bonus: Nobody does holidays like those maniacs over in Circulation.

    That is very amusing. That it comes out of Indiana only reinforces the silliness given the current Indiana resident so much in the news these days.

    Thank you for the picture of the circulation maniacs. It provided a warm remembrance of my late mother who was also a librarian.

    I’m embarrassed to admit that I had to do about fifteen minutes of internet research on the term “bloomer” to fully appreciate the significance of this editorial. It was very historical and enlightening.
