That’s an early 60’s Cushman Golfster 732. At least ten years old by this time, and hard-worn. Two flat tires and plenty of mold. The other carts don’t look much better; wonder if this is some kind of cart graveyard behind the gym or something?
That’s kind of what I thought too. So what was he doing? Just goofing?
He was just being “Big Al”…the pictures capture his personality perfectly.
Ya got me. I sure wouldn’t sit on that thing wearing black dress pants!
Construction of the building in the background looks more like someplace out along Harwin – lots of tilt-wall semi-industrial space

This looks like some of the old back-lot space along the northern fence line of the Harris County Domed Stadium complex.
