That is actually how this photo is labeled. The arrows were for visitors to the Rice Review (a successor to the old Engineering Show). Completely inconceivable today.

    Yes, completely inconceivable. Today we would have known better and used a yard stick to make the line much straighter. BTW, I am a staff member and just started at the end of August. Your history corner, and all the people who contribute to it, are brilliant!
