Friday Follies: “Nothing fishy at Rice University!”

This week we got a glorious bunch of artwork–posters for concerts at Rockefeller’s in the 1980s–drawn by Robert (Little Bobby) Duncan ’71, donated by Duncan and by Jim ’69 and Katie DePitts ’71.

Also included was this delightful poster for a class of 1971 reunion to be held in the brand new Anderson Hall addition:

Wow.

Bonus: Here’s a peek at some of the Rockefeller’s art.

and the envelope from Robert Duncan–I’m the little fish:

And I can’t leave without one of my favorite pictures, Little Bobby Duncan himself as Homecoming King in 1970. It’s Norman’s smile that just slays me.

Note: I’ll be out next week, back on the 30th. If you need something historical in the meantime, just call the Woodson. They’ll know what to do.

Duncan was one of my roommates our sophomore year. He was then known as “Drunken Duncan”. The “Little Bobby” nickname must have come along later. Lots of crazy stories.
