Some of you commented on the observation in yesterday’s Jones Jabberwocky that “Rally Club members make neat dates!” As if on cue this invitation turned up to prove the point:

In the grand tradition of the Rally Club, “semi-formal” meant Black Tie from the waist up, and boxer shorts from the waist down. So these must have been “new members.”
I like that there were enough literary societies that they dittoed letters with “__LS”, then wrote in the correct two letters for each one.
