“The Rally Club would like to extend a moist invitation,” 1964

Some of you commented on the observation in yesterday’s Jones Jabberwocky that “Rally Club members make neat dates!” As if on cue this invitation turned up to prove the point:

I would totally go to that party.

    In the grand tradition of the Rally Club, “semi-formal” meant Black Tie from the waist up, and boxer shorts from the waist down. So these must have been “new members.”

  2. I like that there were enough literary societies that they dittoed letters with “__LS”, then wrote in the correct two letters for each one.
