One of my great regrets is that by the time I was old enough to need a big station wagon they had been abandoned for mini-vans. I still pine for the Ford Country Squire that should have been mine.

I think we are looking at a 1976 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon and a 1977 Mercury Marquis Colony Park wagon. I’m guessing you are less interested in the sedans, although the car with its trunk open is a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado coupe.
That Colony Park was also a nice one!

Regarding the car in the Hemmings ad, a Ford that old that hasn’t had a full restoration is likely to be a pile of rust held together by Bondo and the paint.
This won’t last, but it’s worth looking at now…
