I don’t know what to do these days, but when I was locked in many years ago I found a phone and called the campus police. Then we waited for about an hour until they were ready to release us.
I’ve had a couple of library mishaps over the years but I don’t recall ever being locked in.

Back in the day you could stay after closing. The doors were locked but you could exit through the back one. Lights stayed on. No security, there were no campus police.
